Pack light layers for warm days, a sweater or jacket for cool highland evenings, sun protection, insect repellent, swimwear and a beach towel.

Important guidance concerning entry requirements, insurance, travel health and anticipated personal expenses.
Entry Requirements

Eligible travelers may obtain a tourist visa upon arrival. Visa fees and permitted lengths of stay can change, so confirm the applicable amount before departure and carry small denominations in euros or U.S. dollars.

Visit the Official eVisa PortalYour passport should remain valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date and contain at least three blank pages. Verify all current requirements before travelling.
Required Protection
Adequate and valid travel insurance is a condition of booking with HT Agency Tours. It is each traveler’s responsibility to arrange appropriate protection and understand the full terms, limits and exclusions of the selected policy.
Essential Cover
Your policy must provide adequate overseas medical coverage and emergency repatriation to your home country for the entire duration of the journey.
Remote Travel
Ensure the policy includes emergency helicopter or air evacuation in the event of serious illness or injury in a remote location.
Planned Activities
Confirm that every planned and optional activity is covered. If trekking at altitude, check that the policy does not contain an altitude limit that could exclude your route.
Travel Health
Consult a doctor or specialist travel clinic at least one month before departure. Recommendations depend on your medical history, vaccination record, itinerary and planned activities.
Travelers should ensure routine vaccinations are current. A medical professional may also recommend protection against Hepatitis A, typhoid, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, Hepatitis B or rabies according to individual circumstances.
Malaria is present across much of Madagascar. Ask your doctor which preventive medication is appropriate and follow the prescribed schedule before, during and after the journey.
Travelers aged nine months or older arriving from—or spending more than 12 hours in transit through—a country with yellow-fever transmission risk may be required to present a valid vaccination certificate.
Wear long sleeves and trousers and apply an effective insect repellent generously. These precautions should be followed during both daytime and evening hours.
Health recommendations and entry requirements may change. Always obtain personalised medical advice and review the latest official guidance before departure.
Personal Spending Guide
Meal and beverage costs vary according to the destination, restaurant style and number of courses ordered. Local restaurants away from major visitor areas may cost less, while premium restaurants in larger cities may charge considerably more.
