DAY1: WELCOMING (TRANSFER)
Arrival at Port Louis Airport. You will be welcomed by HT Agency Tours Staff. Once you have cleared customs formalities, our Guide will smooth through the rest of the arrivals process – currency exchange, setting up your phone with a new local SIM card, and anything else you need. We will provide 1 SIM cards with Intenet + National Call + International call during your stay in Mauritus. Transfer directly to the hotel.

DAY 2: MAURITIUS
Breakfast, beginning of your escape in the Mauritius island. The clear waters surrounding the hotel are perfect for snorkeling and diving. Escape deep to the sea nature: these coral reefs are home to dolphins, sea turtles, clownfish, parrotfish, starfish and other exotic species. Snorkeling equipment is available for use at your leisure; beginners can master the basics under the supervision of the resort’s PADI Divemasters. Full scuba diving courses are available, as well as private dives for those with more underwater experience. You can also enjoy other activities and equipment available at the resort, such as kayaking, glass bottom boat trips, paddle boats, SUPs, hobie Eclipse. DAY 3: MAURITIUS
This day is dedicated to explore the lush and majestic landscapes of the wild south of Mauritius, dive deep in the nature. Visit the sleeping volcano of Trou Aux Cerfs and admire the mesmerizing panoramic views. Then, breathe in the natural and spiritual beauty of the sacred lake of Ganga Talao crater. After admiring the breathtaking views of the Black River Gorges National Park, head to the village of Chamarel. Here, admires nature’s finest work of art – the world-famous Seven-Colored Land and a spectacular waterfall nearby. To complete your experience, you’ll also stop at a local rum distillery for a guided tour and tasting. Today’s tour concludes when you are returned to your accommodation.

DAY 4: MAURITIUS
Today you spend a day in paradise discovering the unspoiled expanses of tropical beach and chic swimming pools at One & Only Le Saint Géran, your exclusive getaway in Mauritius. The virgin peninsula of One & Only Le Saint Géran gives way to two kilometers of fine sandy beaches shaded by palm trees. The island’s serene waterfront promises sugar-white sand, gentle waves, and plenty of private lounge chairs. The exclusive lagoon beach is perfectly sheltered, with warm waters perfect for paddling. DAY 6: MAURITIUS
After breakfast, discover the fabulous history with exploring the island’s richness and diverse cultural heritage, from the 18th-century botanical gardens in Pamplemousses to the museum delving into the history of sugar production in Mauritius on a private guided tour. Created at the end of the 18th century by the French horticulturalist and explorer Pierre Poivre, the Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens present an impressive collection of plants from all over the world. A former sugar mill turned museum, L’Aventure du Sucre at Beau Plan is a treasure trove for visitors with an abundance of things to see and experience. You will also head to the bustling port of Port Louis, where Le Caudan Waterfront is one of Mauritius’ best-known places for shopping and entertainment. A quiet morning in the gardens and an afternoon on the beach. A romantic evening stroll under a veil of stars. - Climate
Mauritius enjoys a mild tropical maritime climate throughout the year. The country has two seasons: a warm humid summer extending from November to April and a relatively cool dry winter from June to September. The month of October and May are commonly known as the transition months. Mean summer temperature is 24.7 degrees Celsius and mean winter temperature is 20.4 degrees Celsius. The temperature difference between the seasons is only 4.3 degrees Celsius. The warmest months are January and February with average day maximum temperature reaching 29.2 degrees Celsius and the coolest months are July and August when average night minimum temperatures drops down to 16.4 degrees Celsius..
- Altutude
Mauritius is surrounded by mountain ranges, varying in height from 300 meters to 800 meters above sea level. The land rises from the coastal plains to a central plateau where it reaches a height of 670 meters. The highest peak, the peak of the Petite Rivière Noire at 828 m, is located to the southwest.
- Equipment
HT Agency Tours offers torches for nocturnal wildlife walks, a water bottle. Please bring camera film (and spare batteries), binoculars and a beach towel and swimwear. Rain proof pants are very handy for walks in the rainforest. Walking poles maybe useful in Ranomafana NP and Andasibe NP. Lightweight walking bootshoes and trainers is recommended. Clothing should be lightweight, but a warm sweater or jacket is advisable as nights at altitude and under desert conditions can be very cold, even in summer. Rainwear is highly recommended on all tours for the occasional shower.
- Visa and Passport
Requirements for Entry to Mauritius: Valid passport with at least one blank page, evidence of onward/return travel, proof of sufficient funds. No visa is required. On arrival, your passport will be stamped allowing entry to the country for 60 days. Visit the Embassy of the Republic of Mauritius website or the nearest Mauritius Embassy or Consulate for further information. It is prohibited to bring into Mauritius: Drugs, including cannabis and cannabis oil, and drug paraphernalia, Spear fishing equipment, Plants and fruits, Pepper spray, mace, and similar substances, Guns
- Insurance
It is a condition of booking with HT Agency Tours that you have adequate valid travel insurance. It is your responsibility to arrange appropriate travel insurance and ensure you have read and understood the full terms and conditions of your travel insurance policy to ensure that you are covered for all activities you intend to undertake whilst on the tour, including all optional activities. Your Insurance Policy must fully cover you for medical expenses and emergency repatriation to your home country. Please ensure your policy includes medical emergency helicopter evacuation in the event of illness or injury and covers the entire duration of your holiday. If you are trekking at altitude, please ensure that there is no upper altitude limit which may limit or exclude cover for your trip.
- Vaccinations
Nothing compulsory, but we recommend protection against malaria, tetanus, typhoid, hepatitis A plus, Polio and diptheria. Please note that all travellers aged over 9 months old that have travelled from or have transit via a country with a risk of yellow fever transmission, will need to present a Yellow Fever certificate at immigration/borders in Madagascar for inspection. Consult your travel clinic for latest advice on different prophylaxis available against malaria. Following the advice given by the Government’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office, we strongly recommend the wearing long sleeved shirts and the liberal application of insect repellent as a precautionary measure to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes. These precautions should be taken at all times as the mosquitoes are also active during daylight hours. Please check the latest requirements with your travel clinic or doctor prior to departure.

- Given the fluid nature of local COVID-19 protocols, our itineraries are regularly reviewed and will be modified based on local requirements to ensure a safe experience. If a major change is necessary, we will let you know before departure.
- Our guide will use their judgment during the trip to modify the itinerary if physical distancing cannot be achieved
- Our guide will receive in-depth training on COVID-19 protocols and how to conduct our journeys in the “new normal”.
- Our guide will brief you upon arrival on the use of face masks and physical distancing during the trip, based on local government guidelines.
- Only restaurants with strict protocols that comply with local food hygiene and physical distancing requirements will be used. We will encourage outdoor dining areas where possible.
- All of our staff and third party suppliers will be continually informed of new health and safety protocols.
Transportation Protocols
- Our drivers will follow local protocols on the use of face masks and physical distancing required.
- Our drivers will provide alcohol-based hand sanitizer and tissues in the vehicle and encourage customers to wash their hands when getting into the vehicle.
