This tour is rated as light so travelers should be in good health and more comfortable sitting for any extended periods of time. Excursions include safari drives in open vehicles on dusty, bumpy roads; nature walks on uneven terrain; and sometimes climbing stairs without handrails. Regarding the Accommodations Throughout the tours, you will be accommodated at the best in each stop, lodges and luxury tented camps. What about the tour Team? A HT Agency Tours Expert as a Tour Leader will accompany you all along this trip, and local guides will join you along the way. What about Transporation? All your transportation needs during your stay in Tanzania have been arranged as specified in your travel itinerary. When spending time alone, you may choose to visit a site requiring transportation that is not on the itinerary. This Tanzania Great Migration Safari takes you to the famous Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. On this 4 days Great Migration Group / Private Safari, you should be able to see all the main animals that symbolize the Great Migration and enjoy the beautiful scenary and diversity of wildlife species discovered in the parks.

Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival in Tanzania, Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in Arusha toward the evening then transfer directly to your hotel.

DAY 2: Lake Manyara National Park

After an early breakfast at your lodge, you will head to the Lake Manyara National Park. Very famous for its elephants, hippos, giraffes, flamingos and tree-climbing lions. Go on your first safari to discover the legendary wildlife of East Africa in the middle of the magnificent landscapes of the Rift Valley. DAY 3 : Lake Manyara National Park

Today, be ready for a morning game drive, watch wildlife congregate on the shores of Lake Manyara. Enjoy a guided walk around the lodge grounds and gardens before hiking to a nearby coffee plantation. Meet a conservationist from KopeLion, founded by field biologist. DAY 4 : Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, travel to the Ngorongoro highlands, where you will meet members of the Maasai community. Away from the tourist trails, enjoy a rare opportunity to witness traditional songs and dances. Attend an initiation ritual and learn about this fascinating culture from the village chief and his wives. After lunch, descend 610m to the bottom of the Ngorongoro Crater, where the volcanic slopes are home to nearly 25,000 animals. Observe interactions between predators and prey; spot colorful birds, from stunning starlings to crowned cranes; and track elephants, rare black rhinos, cheetahs and more. DAY 5 : Ngorongoro Crater

Back to the crater floor for breakfast following by a morning game drive. Enjoy an afternoon to relax and watch the sun set over the crater from the lodge. DAY 6 : Olduvai Gorge & Serengeti NP

Today we drive to the Olduvai Gorge which also spelled Oldupai Gorge, is a steep-sided ravine in Tanzania, East Africa, that has become one of the most important paleoanthropological localities in the world. The gorge has yielded a wealth of fossils and stone tools dating back millions of years, providing crucial evidence for understanding early human evolution. Then take a private tour of the site on a walk through the area where much of his life’s research has been conducted. In the afternoon, drive to a lodge in the southern Serengeti by looking for lions, giraffes and leopards along the way. DAY 7-8 : Serengeti National Park

Early wake up for a morning game drive before flying to the northern Serengeti. With a bit of luck, you will witness spectacular river crossings during the wildebeest migration. Admire the region’s spectacular wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives. On your last evening, gather for a candlelit farewell dinner in the bush. DAY 9 : Fly from Serengeti to Arusha

For this last day, you fly back to Arusha.
